Rod
Stewart - 'Human' (Atlantic)
After this album we
can safely say 'he's only human'. This album lacks originality and will
only be in the charts because of this old and loyal fans.
Once again Rod Stewart
surprises us by reinventing himself. Human, his first recording in almost
3 years, and the single Run Back in Your Arms are expected to top the
charts by the first bimester of 2001. Still apealling to the Baby Boomers,
this is a direct attempt to gain some long lost territory with the younger
generations.
Run Back Into My Arms is a catchy but corny tune, that will no doubt captivate
all those long forgotten house wifes that are what Stewart really is about.
Nevertheless, this witty colection of all-new tracks shall prove it's
seaworthiness, just like any other recording done by the blonde.
It is a change of direction from "New Boys" which was brilliant. A couple
of tracks will take a few plays to register, whilst the majority are already
firmly ingrained.
