Nelly Furtado - 'Whoa. Nelly'

A brilliant album by a brilliant and stunning singer. We havent heard a voice of this calibre for a long time.

With out seeing any promotion, the video, any preformances, etc., Nelly Furtado's music hit me and hit me hard! i love the eclectic mix of influences and sounds. Her rich voice has touches of the jazz greats of old. I am so rarely impressed by music enough that i'm able to put a cd on and listen straight through. this is one of those rare albums. i'm glad i found it and can't wait to watch this artist grow and keep expirimenting!

Nelly Furtado is like no other artist. Her songs are arranged beautifully, her voice is so capturing and the lyrics are about real topics. Nothing about this new artist seems to be put together by an industry she's all real as well as her music is.

Very pleasing to the ears and eyes, Nelly is a breath of fresh air in the stale confines of Britney/Christina songs all the time on the radio. Her lyrics and vocals bring to mind the era of radio from five years ago, when the top female acts were Alanis and Sheryl Crow, but her sound is thoroughly modern.

In a perfect world, "I'm Like A Bird" would be a Number One single, and there are a half dozen more hits on "Whoa, Nelly!" if only the preteen crowd got sick of bubblegum pop.

In this album no two songs sound the same I especially recommend, Legend, On the Radio, and Onde Estas.
