Digital Cameras - Kodak DC3400

Kodak DC3400

Review

Kodak digital cameras have a reputation for geometrically accurate lenses and excellent color. The DC3400 and the earlier DC280 continue this. However, these cameras also have a lot of builtin limitations. The first one you'll notice is probably the weak zoom, equiv to about 30-60 (2X) on a 35mm camera. Forget about the 3X digital zoom, its not a true zoom, just blowing up pixels. The cameras also lack threads for lens attachments, a very useful feature which many other cameras have. The DC3400, like the DC280, suffers from low sensitivity (ISO equivalency) resulting in longer shutter times and poor pictures in low light situations. Another low point is the camera's internal CPU. I found it to be kind of slow when reviewing pictures

This camera takes nice pictures within the range of what it can do, but before buying it you might want to have a look at some other cameras with better zoom and features.

Dont get me wrong, for its price range it is a pretty good camera even though you dont get a battery charger with it.
