Jennifer Lopez - 'J.Lo'(Epic) Better known for her acting talent than her singing one she has still made a lively album. You will like this album, if you dont we'll send puffy and crew around. Jennifer Lopez is a performer, not a singer. Take away the Pro Tools and chances are she won't sound good. Her voice has no particular tone to distinguish it from any other performer out there. She is musical, though, and knows how to make the best out of what she does have. She is one of the better non-singing singers around. The album has a feisty street attitude, combined with rhythmic, emphatic beats that leap out at you and make you want to dance. The words aren't full of meaning and you can't really take the songs seriously. Would you take the words "Love Don't Cost A Thing" seriously from a woman who wears Versace and paints all the hotels rooms she stay in white. The songs are there in the calibre of Britney/Christina. As long as half the words rhyme and its got a dance hook to it, it'll work. And this album does work for Jennifer. You could classify this album as insanely vivacious R&B-pop. Rating:
