Bulletproof Monk
(2003)
Directed by Paul Hunter (I)
Cast: Chow Yun-Fat,
Seann William Scott, Jaime King, Karel Roden, Victoria Smurfit
A power beyond
measure requires a protector without equal.
For 60 years a
mysterious immortal
Tibetan kung fu monk (Chow Yun-Fat) roams the globe to
protect an ancient scroll that is the key to unlimited power.
The Monk
find himself being the mentor of Kar (Seann William Scott) in the city of San
Fransisco where Kar is at home and the Monk is not. This unlikely duo find
themselves on the run from the evil monk (Karel Roden).
Why the monk
chose Kar to look after the ancient script is as much of a mystery as the monk.
This film isnt very strong on its storyline but i think you can guess that from
the title.
During their adventures they run into sexy Russian Mob
princess called "Bad Girl". She a mobster with a good heart of course, without
it the plot holes wouldnt be complete. This film is low on humor despite the
effort of Seann William Scott and one liner by Chow Yun-Fatand.
Dont
expect any plot twists it either, but it is packed with spectacular special
effects and martial arts action. This will give it a world wide appeal and i'm
sure it will do well at the box office.
