Blade: Trinity

When the Vampire Nation hatches a plan that will once and for all allow them to walk in daylight, they concieve of a plan to stop Blade once and for all - expose him to the public!. So the vampire underground stands on the precipice of becoming the ruling class once and for all. Wasn’t that the plot from the first one?

After falling into the crosshairs of the FBI, he is forced out into the daylight, where he is driven to join forces with a clan of human vampire hunters he never knew existed - The Nightstalkers.

Together with Abigail (Jessica Biel), unknown daughter of Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), and Hannibal (Ryan Reynolds), two Nightstalkers, Blade follows a trail of blood to the an ancient creature that is also hunting him, the original vampire, Dracula.

There are too many things wrong with this film to mention here but i'll have a go - The plot seems a bit lost, its a thin re-used one. Dracula is under used. The acting of Jessica Biel is very weak. Ryan Reynolds spurts out more one liners than he kills vampires.

You can look at this film in two ways depending what you are looking for on a saturday night, its either fast, funny and fun or erratic, forgetful and suspense-free. The hardcore fans of the first two films will be bitterly dissapointed, this film blunts the dark edge of the Blade films.

The fact that Snipes has pulled out of doing press for the movie, and the talk that the release was put back for more than a year hints that all was not well with this movie from the start.

4/10.
